11-day Ayahuasca & Master Plant Dieta Retreat – Tarapoto, Peru
With Sanango, Ananda, Helge and Anuradha
August 6 - 16, 2027
✨ A Return to the Roots ✨
After eight years serving Master Plants in Europe, Sinchi Runa has returned with deep gratitude to the Peruvian jungle, to the land and center of the medicine’s origin, where the spirit of the medicine is alive in its complete immensity and speaks most directly.
Our new centre is located near Tarapoto, in the Peruvian Amazon. This location is immersed in the living jungle and surrounded by the song of birds and the flow of the sacred river Shilcayo. It is the Amazonian home of Ayahuasca and Master Plants. It is a place of silence and simplicity, where the voice and spirit of Mother Earth is felt and heard and lends her healing in the process with the plants.
This retreat marks a transition and new beginning: an invitation to each participant to return to their own essential nature through silence, reflection, and communion with the plants and the Earth in the jungle.
✨ A Space for Healing and Awakening ✨
This Ayahuasca & Master Plant Dieta Retreat is a sacred process of healing and inner discovery.
Within the stillness of the jungle and under the guidance of Maestro Sanango, participants are invited to enter into deep introspection: to meet themselves, to release what no longer serves, and to rediscover clarity, peace, and purpose.
The work with Ayahuasca & the Master Plant Dieta, and sacred plant purges allows a profound purification of the body and mind, helping to dissolve old patterns, emotional wounds, and forms of inner suffering. It is a path that reveals what lies beyond our pain when we open the heart – the natural joy and truth of being.
✨ La Dieta – Communion with the Master Plant ✨
At the heart of the retreat is the Master Plant Dieta, one of the most essential healing processes in Amazonian shamanism.
During the dieta, participants enter a period of solitude and isolation, following a simple monothematic diet without salt or condiments, while receiving daily small dosages of a (non-psychotropic) teacher plant, such as Ajo Sacha, Bobinsana, or others, chosen for them by Maestro Sanango according to the needs of each individual’s process.
Each teacher plant is a unique Master and healer. The Dieta is a process of communion with the master, that bring about profound healing, guidance, and transformation, often marking a point of inflection and significant shifts in life. It helps to uncover the roots of deep karmas and suffering, surfacing them in a safely held process to permit healing and release through a letting go based in the understanding of our patterns and pains. The dieta is a subtle process of healing that unfolds over multiple days of solitude, in an inner conversation with the plant that may manifest in the form of memories, sensations, feelings, intuitions or states of clarity and understanding.
Each dieta is a unique intimate dialogue between yourself and the plant, guided and protected within the traditional Amazonian framework by Maestro Sanango.
✨ Held in the Silence of the Jungle ✨
Silence is central to all Sinchi Runa retreats. Away from distraction and noise, the stillness and forest become a mirror through which we can begin to hear ourselves and our heart speak; we can become attuned to the movement of life within us and the quiet guidance of the spirit.
This space of stillness is not empty: it is alive with presence. It is a process of introspection, a search for awareness of ourselves and our minds, patterns and projections, and from here, learning to connect deeply with ourselves beyond the causes of our pain.
Speaking is always permitted with members of the team to receive guidance and assistance, and this silent retreat contains spaces with conscious communication to guide the process. Personal consultations, discursive talks, and integration group sessions with Sanango offer participants a deeper understanding of their process with ongoing support throughout the entire retreat, as well as guidance on how to integrate the teachings of the plants into daily life.
✨ A Safe, Sacred Process: Guidance and Integration with Maestro Sanango ✨
The retreat is directed by Maestro Curandero Sanango, a Peruvian spiritual teacher and vegetalista with more than thirty years of experience in Amazonian plant medicine and Eastern practices. His work is rooted in decades of leading healing processes with traditional Amazonian work with Ayahuasca and Master Plants Dietas.
This retreat is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the stillness of nature, the ancient wisdom of Amazonian Shamanism and the loving guidance of the plant world; a place to rediscover your true self and inner strength, and be reborn aligned in love and purpose.
We will be honoured to share this magical process of healing and remembering with you and hope to serve you on your journey.
